This year of the Monsoon was a terrible monsoon for Pakistani people, especially those who belong to Baluchistan and Sindh. Approximately 33 million people including around 16 million children are badly affected by the monsoon in Pakistan and caused by devastating rain, flood, and landslide. Due to the monsoon, many dams have overflowed, millions of people and animals have died and around 1.1 million people have lost their homes and relatives. Many major rivers have breached their banks, schools, and hospitals, and everything has been destroyed.
Thousands of people are living in the camp and the whole infrastructure has been destroyed approximately 1600 Km of roads damaged or destroyed in Khyber Pakhtun Khawa that connected one city to another city are damaged due to the flood all roads have damaged.
During this difficult time, the Pakistan army did not support its people alone and helped its people in every way not only the army but also the people of Pakistan and overseas Pakistani helped their brothers with an open heart. From every street in Pakistan clothes, medicines, food, and other necessary item was brought to the people who lost everything in these flood.
On 30 August the Government of Pakistan declared a national emergency climate warming and heat waves have melted many glaciers and melted glaciers also increase floods.
According to National Disaster Management, more than 1300 people died and more than 12,700 have been injured on 4, September. In addition, more than 632000 people have been evacuated and more than 33 million are badly injured. Across the country around 150 bridges and approx. 3500 km were badly damaged. Due to this natural calamity, the farmers have seen very difficult times as their houses, crops, and livestock have been destroyed.
In these difficult times, UN Secretary-general Antonio Guterres visited Pakistan on 10 September and visited the areas badly damaged due to floods and appealed to increase global financial support for Pakistan. Pakistan estimates that due to this flood there has been a loss of $30 Billion. Antonio Guterres told in a new conferences Pakistan needs a global response to the global crisis.
